Reiki 1: April 27 12-4PM
Join Zhana Levitsky of Yes Wolf Spirit for a 4 hour Reiki I Training and certification offered in the Usui Traditional Method of Reiki.
Zhana received her Reiki I on July 14, 2002 from John Harvey Gray at his Healing Center in NH. From his website:
“Anyone can easily learn Reiki. Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”), is the Japanese word for “Universal Life Energy.” This energy is all around us and we can channel it.
The Reiki energy flows through the hands of the practitioner and into the person, animal or plant being treated, enhancing and accelerating the natural healing processes in the body. Reiki helps to restore balance and harmony and promotes the relaxation response.
An ancient spiritual healing art, Reiki is a simple method of hands on healing developed in the 1920’s by Mikao Usui of Kyoto, Japan. The system was passed, hand to hand, from Mikao Usui, to naval surgeon, Dr. Chujiro Hayashi. Dr. Hayashi, in turn, passed the teachings down to a Japanese-American woman, Mrs. Hawayo Takata, who introduced the system to the West.
John Harvey Gray, was one of the original 22 Reiki Masters. He completed his entire Reiki training from Mrs. Hawayo Takata in 1976 and was the longest-practicing and most experienced Reiki Master Teacher in the USA until his passing in 2011. John Harvey Gray taught Reiki in 48 of the 50 states and introduced and established Reiki in the New England region.
In this class you will learn the history and practice of this wonderful & empowering energy healing modality and be attuned to Reiki level 1. There will then be plenty of hands on practice time to give & receive Reiki. You will get a manual to take home and a certificate of attunement upon completion.
